Chelsea, MA: Mill Creek Resident Reports Teens Banging on Doors, Trespassing on Property

A Chelsea homeowner is warning neighbors after a group of teenagers allegedly trespassed on their property and banged loudly on their front door earlier this week.

Resident Describes the Incident

The account was shared in the Facebook group “Chelsea, MA What’s Happening” by a longtime Clinton Street resident who said they have lived in the Mill Creek neighborhood for eight years and are familiar with most people who regularly pass through the area.

According to the post, the resident heard loud banging on their front door on the day of the incident, so forceful that they initially thought someone was trying to break in.

When they went to check, they said they saw one teenager running out of their gated yard, another sprinting away from the front porch, and a third walking down the street. All three reportedly ran off once the resident opened the door.

The resident described the group as typically three male teenagers, sometimes joined by a fourth person who is female, and said they believe the group lives nearby. They added that they have high-resolution camera footage and photos of the teenagers involved.

Neighbor to Neighbor Warning Before Involving Police

Rather than filing a police report right away, the resident said they wanted to first address the issue directly with the community. In the post, they wrote that they understand teenagers can make reckless decisions, which is why they chose to post publicly instead of contacting authorities immediately.

The resident said that if the group returns to their property or the behavior continues, they will turn the footage over to police. They asked any parents who suspect their children may be involved to talk with them about respecting private property and behaving responsibly toward neighbors, as well as the potential legal consequences of trespassing.

The post thanked community members who are helping keep Mill Creek “a safe and respectful place to live.”

The post drew several responses from other local residents. One commenter, identified as Ariz Chiodi, said they had also noticed an increase in unfamiliar teenagers in the area recently and mentioned observing people moving between properties, though the full comment was not fully visible in the post.

As of now, it does not appear a formal police report has been filed in connection with the incident, and the identities of the teenagers involved have not been confirmed.
