A 15-year-old girl reported missing in Colorado Springs has been found safe, according to police, closing out a search that had drawn wide attention from residents and missing persons advocates.
Charlotte Johnson was last seen on August 20 around 10 p.m. near the 7200 block of Julynn Road, an area northwest of Ute Valley Park.
Colorado Springs Police Department officials had described her as a white female standing about 5 feet 3 inches tall with a thin build and hazel eyes.
Her long hair, they said, was believed to have been dyed black. At the time she went missing, she was wearing a black jacket and grayish jeans.
The case was flagged as an at-risk juvenile disappearance, which prompted police to ask the public directly for tips on her whereabouts.
